Trustpilot here: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/iberdrola.es

This website, review-iberdrola.com is intended to provide information so that current and future customers of Iberdrola can make an informed decision as to whether this company is worth contracting with. Here is an example of how wildly inaccurate Iberdrola billing has been for this customer:

This is a screenshot taken of the Iberdrola website data inside the customer/client account which shows “Your current consumption” and “Detail on your bill” Note the period, 5th July to the 4th of August, now look at the bill below for the same period….
This is a copy of the bill received from Iberdrola for the same period as detailed in the Iberdrola website data image. The Bill should have been €25.13 or somewhere very close, but it wasn’t it was a whopping €80.12!!

Iberdrola have persistently ignored all requests to explain the discrepancies, in this particular case €54.99!!

Iberdrola have proven to us that they are prepared to lie to cover up the theft, they stonewall their customers, the emails we have prove this. Are you prepared to be treated THIS badly? are they stealing from you?

This degree of billing discrepancy, without proper investigation by Iberdrola is no less than THEFT!

Instead of investigating the problem, they cut the power off from this elderly lady’s home, forcing her to move home!!

The elderly Iberdrola client in this case was oblivious to the overcharging until another local resident brought it to her attention.

It has now been calculated based upon irrefutable evidence that this lady, since the beginning of her tenancy in April 2017 has been overcharged in excess of €3,800 YES… THREE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED EUROS!!! OVERCHARGED!!

Just for a moment let the above sink in!!

If it weren’t for a friend, this lady would have continued to overpay Iberdrola somewhere between €800 and €900 per year!!

There were periods of time when the elderly Iberdrola customer was away for 4-6 weeks, during which period, there was only ever a small fridge running, nothing else and she was billed on one occasion €99.00 and on another €87.00.

IBERDROLA have already attempted to stop this from being shared

Iberdrola want this website closed down, they have complained to the domain name registrar, making false allegations of fraud!

Rather that spending the due time and effort to properly and fully investigate a claim by one of its customers of being grossly overcharged, Iberdrola has chosen to avoid its responsibilities and is evidently attempting to suppress the reasonable publication of information that show them to be avoiding refunding and compensating an elderly customer for four and half years of overcharging.

We will be publishing the communications between Iberdrola and this client, written communications that fully demonstrates that Iberdrola should not ever be trusted.

We welcome all communications, your stories, particularly from Iberdrola customers that have been treated badly or even robbed. We will verify all claims and publish accordingly.

We state again. We want to ensure that all visitors to this website are fully aware that there is no intention to pass off as Iberdrola or ever will be.

The domain name review-iberdrola.com and any of its subdomains will only ever be used for the legitimate purpose of publishing information that will assists others to make an informed choice.

We can provide a copy of a communication that was sent to Iberdrola prior to any publication, informing them of the intention to use the domain name review-iberdrola.com to publically disclose the details of a sequence of events that have caused an elderly lady to leave her home.

If you have an Iberdrola account and have web access to the daily data that is published in your member area, you may be aware that there are discrepancies between what is stated as being your next bill and the bill you receive.

We have substantial evidence that proves that in this particular case, the website data published was at the very least tripled in the bills raised, some months Iberdrola has been overcharging by as much as six times more that the actual energy usage.

Iberdrola, evident in all communications were continually requested to investigate the error, they continually avoided investigating the matter and completed avoided explaining why there were such huge discrepancies between the running energy usage and the billed usage.

Iberdrola, evident in all communications failed to answer the very simple and basic request of why and how.

Iberdrola cut the power off after the customer repeatedly requested an explanation, having made it perfectly that she would not be paying another cent to them until the reported issue was properly dealt with.

For the avoidance of doubt. The Iberdrola customer in this particular case, had an average daily use of power that varied between as low 0.5 Kw and absolute maximum of under 4kw PER DAY. Her average actual monthly (30 days) energy usage has been 75Kw PER MONTH when in residence. She has never been charged for less than 180Kw PER MONTH whilst in residence. She has even been charged in far in excess of 120Kw PER MONTH when there was ONLY a small fridge running, whilst she was away!

These above broad figures are based upon an investigation that included daily monitoring of the actual consumption of the property using specialist energy monitoring equipment. Statements that have been obtained from friends and visitors to the this ladies home, confirming that she lives alone, has never used air conditioning or electrical heating equipment, that she spent long periods away and couldn’t possibly have used the billed sums. The lady’s diaries also provided an excellent source of information confirming travel dates, visits and details about her daily activities.

The Iberdrola website data in her client area actually confirms her very low, true usage! Iberdrola customer services have totally ignored this fact, without explanation!

Our immediate response was:

Dear Namecheap,

The website has been registered for entirely legitimate purposes which is perfectly clear in its title and name.

The registration was authorised with legal advice and will be used to publish information that is intended to alert current and future customers of Iberdrola, that they may become the victims of the shocking behaviour and policies of Iberdrola.

It is somewhat ironic that that its legitimacy is disputed by claiming fraudulent use, when Iberdrola have been obtaining monies using practises that are tantamount to fraud and it could be said, coercion and threats.

Iberdrola was informed directly by the client that the website existed and was going to be used for publication of her shocking experience. The reasonable use of a distinct action “review” has simply and appropriately been joined with the subject “Iberdrola” to ensure that search engines will eventually index the website according to prime search terms whereby its content and therein its intention, to alert others, providing them with information that a prudent person would consider essential to making an informed decision, will be successful.

Iberdrola has behaved as expected and we will be delightted to share thier attempt to cover up the story and more importantly the facts, by making allegations that are simply hollow. This action fully underlines Iberdrola’s disgraceful policies which are not customer favourable, helping us considerably to expose them for what they are, untrustworthy.

We are sorry that you have been troubled and had your time wasted.

Kind regards

To add to the litany of disgraceful behaviour, their email highlights another trait that they have absolutely no trouble using, they are Liars!

They state in their email; Lie 1

“We have detected a trademark infringement incident against Iberdrola”

No they didn’t, they were informed directly by the client, we can show immediately following the disclosure by our client that Iberdrola made multiple visits to the website.

They state in their email; Lie 2

“We need your collaboration to resolve this incident, by requesting your client to clarify the purpose of this trademark infringement, confirming the authorization for its use, or removing the reported references from the website.”

Our client provided a crystal clear explanation, in advance of why the domain name review-iberdrola.com had been registered and the very clear intention of how it was going to be used, to publicly disclose the facts of her shocking experience.
